Residents at Homwood Aged Care recently enjoyed the day exploring the Yarra Valley and all that it has to offer!
Everyone enjoyed a beautiful lunch at Dixon’s Creek Café Bar and Grill – home of the most delicious flathead tails! After a scrumptious lunch, we were off to the famous Yarra Valley Chocolaterie and Ice Creamery.
Residents were in awe of all the chocolates on display and even had the chance to see how the chocolate was made behind large glass windows. There was an opportunity for all the sweet tooths to taste the chocolate or enjoy a decadent ice cream as they ventured around the store. Residents felt as if they were Charlie in the Chocolate Factory!
On the way home, the residents stopped in to a local nursery where we picked up a Lemon Tree that will be planted near the vegetable patch.
It was a beautiful way to spend a summer’s day and the bus is already booked for the next outing.
