It has been a month filled with connection, care, and celebration here at Holmwood, with our Holmwood community spirit shining in every event, birthday, and special moment.
We started the month with an exciting welcome to Peter, our new Head Chef and Housekeeping Supervisor. Peter comes into Holmwood with experience in aged-care and hospital environments. With enthusiasm and passion, he has already made connections with residents and has started discussion around ways to enhance the dining experience.
Celebrations continued with a morning tea in Peter’s honour and viewed in love and laughter at our High Tea Mother’s Day event. Our ladies enjoyed a luxurious day spa experience, delicious sweets, and catching up with friends at the local bakery in Healesville – which indicates the colder weather does not stop us.
The sense of Holmwood community spirit also shone through in celebration of International Nurses Day where residents provided messages of compassion and care to our wonderful nursing team. The residents shared their heartfelt and funny video messages and all enjoyed water and afternoon tea with delicious cakes and cupcakes.
Our trips this month have also been a highlight in particular for many of the residents, including a lovely scenic tour.
