NOW OPEN | Coranderrk House

We are excited to announce the completion of the renovation renovation in the Coranderrk House.

The House features 11 newly renovated residential rooms, and is connected to a inviting communal lounge and dining areas and an outdoor courtyard.

Each room features new flooring, spacious ensuite bathrooms, built-in-robes, flat screen TVs, and reverse cycle heating and cooling, each room is filled with bright natural light, making this the perfect accommodation option for residents.

‘We’ve been very excited to open the new Coranderrk House at Holmwood,’ says Brenda Hand, Facility Manager at Holmwood Aged Care. ‘This new renovation certainly brings a modern interior into the home, but it still echoes a place of warmth, cosiness and tranquillity. I really look forward to welcoming new residents to Holmwood.’

Dating back to 1920, the Coranderrk House at Holmwood Aged Care is an extension from the original building, previously known as the ‘Holmwood Guest House.’ This historic site was promoted as the first accommodation option in Healesville with electricity and hot water throughout the dwelling.

Since then, the home has undergone various renovations and has been transformed to a beautiful, modern residential aged care home that reflects the stunning nature surrounding the Yarra Valley.
