Holmwood Aged Care activities in March have been all about connection, creativity and community. From unveiling a fresh new look to sharing meals, celebrating together and heading out on adventures, it’s been a month full of meaningful moments. Here’s a look at what we’ve been up to.

A Fresh New Look for Holmwood

You might notice we’re looking a little different and that’s because we’ve recently refreshed our brand and updated our website.

This update is all about making it easier for families and loved ones to find information, stay connected and get a better feel for life here with us. Over the coming weeks, our new look will continue to appear throughout the home, from signage to uniforms and printed materials.

Cooking Up Connection in the Kitchen

March also saw the launch of one of our newest favourite activities — live cooking demonstrations with our catering team.

There’s something special about gathering around food, and these sessions have quickly become a highlight on our calendar. Together, we’ve been rolling pastry, sharing stories and swapping recipes while enjoying the delicious results. From warm, crispy apple turnovers to homemade cookies, it’s not just about the food, it’s about the experience of creating something together and enjoying it as a community.

St Patrick’s Day Celebrations

We embraced the spirit of St Patrick’s Day with a day full of laughter, good food and a little bit of fun.

With a buffet lunch, games and even an afternoon “pub crawl” around the home, it was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate together. Moments like these bring energy and joy into our days, and this one was no exception.

Celebrating Our Team

We also took time to recognise one of our incredible team members, Alysa, as our Employee of the Month.

This recognition reflects the care, dedication and positivity she brings every day, not only to our team, but to everyone who calls Holmwood home. Celebrating our people is an important part of who we are, and we’re so proud of the difference our team makes.

Out and About in the Community

Getting out and about is always something we look forward to, and this month we enjoyed a lovely midweek outing for lunch.

Sharing a meal together in a different setting, enjoying good company and a change of scenery, it’s a simple pleasure that brings so much joy. These outings are a great way to stay connected to the local community while creating new memories together.
